“Fabriques Urbaines” is a semi-annual journal with a scientific committee and a reading committee. It is interdisciplinary, international and trilingual Arabic-French-English.
The journal is interested in the spaces of societies . It favors empirical analyzes that allow us to understand urban and environmental issues and the processes of territorial constructions/reconfigurations that take place particularly around the Mediterranean. It also remains open to extra-Mediterranean reflections on all the phenomena that the world of cities and contemporary urban areas offers for analysis, relating to fields as diverse and varied as planning, architecture, planning, geography, sociology, urban philosophy or anthropology, etc.
The journal thus aims to initiate scientific exchange and the confrontation of ideas within the university, between experienced researchers and doctoral students, but also between the world of research and that of professionals, planners, city officials and civil society actors. .

Post size and style
Size: Fab.urb receives articles which must contain between 10,000 and 40,000 characters (approximately 10 to 15 typed pages), including notes and spaces (excluding bibliography). Notes should not exceed 8 pages (including illustrations). Outside this size, texts may be admitted but require special justification and remain subject to the agreement of the editorial board.
Style: With the exception of titles and intertitles and notes, the body of the text is in Garamond, size 12, for texts written in a foreign language (French and English). It is in simplifiedarabic, size 14 for texts written in Arabic, with single line spacing (of 1). The text must be delivered in Word format (.doc or .docx), normal margins of 2.5 cm. Bold and underlined characters in the text are to be excluded and italics are strictly reserved for words whose language is different from that adopted in the article as well as for the titles of documents (books, reviews, etc.). Quotations are distinguished from the rest of the text by quotation marks (no italics, indentation, or reduction of body).
Format and organization of manuscripts
Author names and affiliations : Position the author’s name directly after the title. Indicate the name of the laboratory and the home university, followed by an operational e-mail address.
If the article is written by several authors, they must be mentioned in an order that explains the degree and nature of each person’s involvement.
Abstract: Each article must be introduced by a concise abstract (about 200 words), factual and written in Arabic, French and English. It briefly outlines the objective of the research, the main results, and the major conclusions of the study.
Keywords: Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of 6 keywords, after each abstract in Arabic, French and English.
The body of the text: It must include the introduction, the problem, the approach to the work, the discussions and the conclusion.
For the form, the text must be structured in clearly defined parts and sub-parts, identified by a relatively short title. The hierarchy of parts and sub-parts does not exceed three levels differentiated according to the following typography:
FIRST LEVEL (main part) = SMALL BOLD CAPS SIZE 12
Second level (sub part 1) = bold style size 12
Third level (subpart 2) = bold-italic style size 12
Footnotes: They will be grouped together at the end of the article. They must be relatively short, and in no case reproduce excerpts from texts that are too long.
Presentation of references
It is highly recommended to use Zotero or EndNote for reference management. These will be referred to in the text itself by brackets according to the Harvard method ( author, year ) and will be listed in alphabetical order and by date at the end of the article. They must not exceed thirty titles. They will be presented in lowercase according to the following standards:
artwork
Name: The illustrations are to be distinguished according to two types: figure (combining maps, diagrams, graphs and photographs), and table . In the text they are called as follows in parentheses: (figure 1); (Table 1).
The author must mention the sources of the illustrations and the dates of the pictures used in the text.
Digital formats : Maps, diagrams and graphics accompanying the text are provided in vector format (preferably AI or EPS). Photographs are provided in raster format (preferably TIFF or JPEG) with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi. All of these figures should use the Trebuchet font. Tables are preferably created directly in Word and inserted into the text of the article (tables from Excel-type spreadsheets will be considered as images generating a significant loss of resolution).
