
Official Launch of the Erasmus+ MED.HELA Project at the University of Tlemcen
The official launch of the Erasmus+ KA2 CBHE project MED.HELA (Mediterranean Higher Education Leadership Academy) took place at the University of Tlemcen in Algeria on January 20-21, 2026.
The kickoff meeting brought together key stakeholders from the higher education sectors of Algeria, Tunisia, and Europe, including representatives from the Ministries of Higher Education of Algeria and Tunisia, as well as the Erasmus+ Office in Algeria.
MED.HELA is a three-year initiative aimed at strengthening leadership capacities within higher education institutions in Algeria and Tunisia.
This collaborative effort includes partners from Algeria, Tunisia, Ireland, Slovenia, and Spain, with UC 3 acting as an active partner in the project.
The two-day meeting marked the official beginning of project implementation, allowing partners to come together to clarify objectives, activities, and action plans.
There was a strong commitment and engagement from all partners, highlighting a unified vision for developing a comprehensive Leadership Development Programme.
